Lots of chatting is going on at – check it out and join in the fun!

What a lovely photo to start the MQP Summer Tour. Penny Whitney-Asdourian uploaded this pretty cottage scene, complete with a simple but elegant quilt that will grace her Florida home along with its almost-twin.

Tossed on the summer grass is Chris Michelle‘s complex hand pieced block. It’s the first of many that she’s making for The New Hexagon Millefiore Quilt-Along. Google that only if you have a few more hours to spend looking at pictures!

Who’s got the beach ball? Lois Flannery does! She made this fun Beach Ball Baby quilt:

and when she was done, a table runner and breakfast mats from the leftovers!

I couldn’t resist adding Lois’s Aloha Layer Cake quilt. What a fun, quick way to make a colorful quilt with your favorite layer cake squares!

It wouldn’t be summer without taking a dip. Kathy McNeil dipped into the ocean and came up with Song of the Sea. Have you ever seen an octopus with more personality?

I’d love to rest awhile in this garden. It’s Ann Scott‘s Garden View art quilt:

Here’s a colorful Orange Peel quilt top nearing completion, posted by Lori’s Kitty-Approved Quilts. Yum! She used Hoffman Bali batiks in Gemstone and Seaglass, in case you are wondering. And Accuquilt dies.

Now take your shoes off, head on out to the dock and stitch awhile. That’s where you might find Maer Soukaros. She uploaded a delightful photo of a bright, graphic table runner on a dock.

You’ll find me on the back porch with my English Paper Piecing. Have a happy stitching summer!

WOW! That is one impressive octopus. Ann Scott did a wonderful job of coloring her/him.
