Love to make totes and bags they make great gifts that are appreciated but find it difficult to find really nice hardware for some of the bags.

Emmaline has some beautiful hardware. If you go into any of the bagmaking groups on Facebook – Swoon, Emmaline, Creative Bag Making, I Love M.E. Bags – you can find lots of recommendations. Also, Sew Sweetness has a nice group, too.

I love making bags and purses. There is always a new technique or challenge to try to accomplish.

I enjoy making purses and embelllishing them using embroidery and fabric manipulation. There are so many beautiful fabrics that it is difficult to focus on the next theme. I use soft and stable and that gives the purse great shape.

I love making tote bags for gifts and fundraisers. I often choose a theme, like a children’s art bag with a colorful “creative” fabric selection for body, lining and pockets, then add crayons, pencils, sketch pad. Or a lady’s pampering theme, or a soft briefcase for the office.

I’ve developed from simple tote bags to adding inner and outer pockets, zippers, more structured shapes and more stable bottoms. I sometimes tell myself I could whip out a dozen if I standardize, but I love experimenting.
