Who are the people, places, and critters that have filled your quilting journey with love? You may want to commemorate them on your quilt.
When I think back over my years of quilting, my heart fills with memories. There are the people who have sat beside me quilting away the hours sharing their stories and friendship. There are the places that quickly grew into a home for my creativity and always inspired me. There’s even a little fuzzy creature or two that insisted on helping out by rearranging my quilt blocks laid out on the floor or insisted on snuggling up in the chain piecing piling up behind my machine as I worked.
As we are collecting bits and pieces for this project, we don’t want to leave out these precious ones who have added to our quilting hearts. Why not stitch them in with a heart of their own?
Below we have provided a sheet of hearts for your use or you can draw one of your own.
Pick fabric that reminds you of them or write their name on the heart.
Prepare as many as you like. There will be lots of places to stitch your hearts on your quilt when we are putting the top together!
