Suggested Quilt Dimensions

How many times have you gone to buy fabric and just couldn’t remember the dimensions of the type of bed that you were making the quilt for? Make a copy of this handy chart from American Quilter magazine  and put it in your wallet for your next fabric excursion.

It does not print in a “handy form”

Nice idea, but not helpful

Disregard my previous comment – I was just hasty – it printed just fine – thanks.

Trying to print quilt sizes was a nightmare for me. I was thrilled to get the chart because ai NEVER know the sizes. I never did get it copied.

Deanna, I am working at our QuiltWeek event in Paducah and won’t be back in the office until next week. Please send me an email to remind me and I can send you a print out. My email address is sylvia@AQSquilt.com. Thanks, Sylvia Thomas, AQS Office Administrator.

I didn’t really appreciate getting 3 pages with a teeny, tiny, hardly readable, chart on the 1st page.

Pat, I am sorry this did not work well for you. Our entire staff is working the AQS QuiltWeek event in Paducah this week. Please send me an email and I can send you a better chart when we get back in the office next week. My email address is sylvia@aqsquilt.com. Thanks, Sylvia Thomas, AQS Office Administrator.

Sylvia, I highlighted the chart and it printed nicely in a readable sized font for old eyes. Thank you!

Thanks for letting me know Carol.

I just copied and paisted it and it was fine.

I suggest that folks copy the chart and paste it into a new Word document, then print it. It comes out about the size of a short dollar bill and is very readable. If you need it larger, once it’s in Word, click on the chart, then click and drag one of the corner circles to increase the size. Print it landscaped if needed, though it gets a little blurry when it’s that big!

Another way to print it easily is to click on the chart. That will cause it to open in its own webpage. From there print….if you want it smaller or larger, simply go into your printer settings prior to printing. Do a print preview to check sizes before printer – no paper waste!

Thanks for the info – pillowcase dimensions would be nice, too!

This printed out clearly in a size suitable to laminate on the back of the Quilter’s Rule card listing backing and binding amounts. Makes a handy reference card when shopping for more “stashes !” Thank you !!

If you are on your smart phone, click on the picture. It will be small. Use your fingers to increase the size to fill your screen. You can then take a screen shot and save it in your photos. Holding the home button and the power button at the same time is how you take the screen shot.
