When you arrive at AQS QuiltWeek – Chattanooga, Tennessee 2014, among the first pieces of quilt art you will see are the winners of the Quilted Public Art Project, a national competition co-produced by Chattanooga Area Convention & Visitor’s Bureau and Public Art Chattanooga.
Over 140 entries were submitted from all over the United States! A community-based selection committee chose the three winning designs. These designs were printed on heat-conforming vinyl and applied to the sidewalks outside the convention center just in time for AQS QuiltWeek!

The designs will be on the Chattanooga sidewalks for up to six months. The selected artists won a monetary prize for their original, two-dimensional designs.
Thank you, Chattanooga, for sharing this competition with all of the AQS QuiltWeek attendees as they walk into the convention center!
