Quilt City USA® Murals in Paducah, KY

We have all seen many beautiful quilts made by quilters in your guild or displayed at shows across the country.

Paducah is going to put quilts on the floodwall next to the Carroll Convention Center here in Paducah as a way to recognize quilts and quiltmakers. Paducah was named a UNESCO Creative City of Crafts & Folk Art because of quilting. These quilt murals will be one more way to acknowledge the creativity of today’s quiltmakers.

You can help with the Quilt City USA Murals project…

  1. Anyone (quilter or quilt guild) can Nominate a Quilt for a mural.
  2. Anyone can be a Quilt Panel Sponsor. This would be an opportunity for a quilt guild, a business/corporation, or individual to financially support the painting of the panels.
  3. Anyone can be a General Sponsor of the project. These funds will be used for the installation of lighting, signage, information panels on the quilt and sponsor, administration, utilities, and maintenance.

Our goal is to have the painting of the murals in process so you all will be able to see them when you come to the Fall Paducah QuiltWeek in September 2017.

Don’t hesitate – now is the time to submit your nomination or sponsorship of the Quilt City USA Murals Project. You or your quilt guild will be acknowledged on the signage in front of the quilt mural panel. Become part of quilt history today!
