Kathleen Shea learned to sew as a child, about the same time that she discovered the wonder of the PEANUTS® characters. While perfecting her sewing skills, Kathleen also began collecting anything that depicted Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and all their friends. Of course, she kept up with the PEANUTS gang by reading the phenomenally popular comic strip in the newspaper every day.
A BFA graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, Kathleen went on to obtain a law degree. She has published several articles in journals and periodicals. As a contributing member of the PEANUTS Collector’s Club, she also wrote a quarterly column for the club’s newsletter for several years.
Through the PEANUTS Collector Club, Kathleen learned of the club’s designated charity, Canine Companions for Independence (CCI). It’s a non-profit organization that provides highly-trained assistance dogs to people with disabilities. Kathleen is happy to donate 10% from the proceeds of her first book, PEANUTS Quilted Celebrations, to the CCI.
