Martha DeLeonardis is the author of the newest AQS book, T-Shirt Quilts Made Easy. Martha is an internationally known, award -winning quilt artist who grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. She graduated from Ohio University in 1981 with a BS in chemical engineering. Martha worked in industry for six years before retiring to stay at home with her two sons.

She has been greatly influenced by the quilting community in the greater Houston area.
Martha has had numerous quilts juried into national and international competitions, winning a blue ribbon in 2008 at the Houston International Quilt Festival. She was also a finalist in The National Quilt Museum’s Sunflower: New Quilts from Old Favorites contest in 2010 and is featured in the companion book by the same name.
