At the beginning of the month, we announced the AQS March Binding Challenge Giveaway. A four week challenge and giveaway. For every quilt bound and submitted, entrants got their name put in the pot. We drew a random winner each Tuesday of the challenge, emptied the pot, and began again. This week, we’re announcing the final winner and showing off some of the quilts you bound this month.
The winner of the fourth week giveaway is Verlaine Stewart!
Verlaine made this quilt, “Butterfly Blooms” pattern by Georgette DEll’Orco, with Kaffe Fassett fabrics, and it’s one of several she bound during the project. Great work, Verlaine!
She won the Borders & Finishing Touches iquilt Class taught by Bonnie Browning. Bonnie’s class is full of great tricks for finishing quilts, like her tips on mitered binding.
The binding challenge is now complete, and it’s been amazing to see how many quilts and projects were bound this month! Here are a few from the AQS Project Parade Facebook group.
Thanks so much to everyone who took part in the binding challenge! Every quilt bound is truly a victory.
