Do you know the value of your quilts and how you can find out? At each AQS QuiltWeek™ event, the American Quilter’s Society has certified quilt appraisers available to appraise both new and antique quilts.
If you are a contestant in the show, you can request an appraisal to be done while your quilt is displayed at the show. Or, anyone can bring their quilts to the show to get appraisals of your new quilt(s) or perhaps some family heirlooms. You won’t need to carry your quilt around at the show, just check it at the Package Check booth in the lobby right outside Freedom Hall until it’s time for your appraisal to be done.
For AQS QuiltWeek in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, you can request an appointment for an insurance replacement or fair market appraisal by calling Phyllis Hatcher at 410-571-8847, or email her at Phyllis2775@hotmail.com. No appointment is necessary. Bring your quilt(s) to the Chestnut Board Room on Level 3 of the Lancaster County Convention Center from 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, March 15, and Saturday, March 16, 2013. Appraisal fee is $50 per quilt, payable at quilt check-in.
If something should happen to your quilt, you will need an appraisal to document the value of your quilt. Know what your quilts are worth so you can insure them appropriately.
Call Phyllis Hatcher today for an appointment.
