Due to an overwhelming response, there are a few additions to AQS QuiltWeek – Lancaster.
Take a look…
Cindy Needham Class Added!
Design-a-Rama with Cindy Needham
It seems that one of the most difficult parts of finishing a quilt is choosing the quilting designs. Many completed tops end up in the closet because of this. In this three hour workshop, Cindy will cover very basic elements of design. She asks that each student bring one pieced, unquilted top to design as a group. This exercise will open your eyes to the possibilities of designing ANY top!
Lisa H. Calle Trunk Show!
Trunk Show with Lisa H. Calle: Where Her Trunk is Filled with Anything but Junk!
Come spend a little time with Lisa H. Calle, the BERNINA ambassador and award-winning quilter! With her humor and down-to-earth attitude, Lisa will take you through her journey of personal and professional quilting. She will illustrate how she has earned renowned success, from her initial piece using a ⅜” seam allowance to her recent quilt that won awards at the Houston International Quilt Festival. As you gain insight on Lisa’s amazing craft and her three-step “Divide and Design” method, any hesitation you have regarding your patience or talent for quilting will quickly disappear. If you doubt whether or not you can quilt with pride, Lisa will give you the confidence and knowledge needed to start. The world of quilting can be yours, too!
“Oh, My Bleeding Heart!” Lisa H. Calle’s Four-Year Quilt
Do you have a project that has you tearing out your hair and questioning your talents, or even your ability to continue with the craft of quilting? You’re not alone! Lisa Calle has been right where you are, and she’s ready to tell you all about the trials and tribulations she endured while creating her “Four-Year Quilt.” Lisa is an award-winning quilter and a proud BERNINA ambassador, and she’s here to tell you that “Yes, even professionals struggle with certain pieces of work!” This lecture full of humor and real-life experiences will prove, once and for all, that EVERY quilter has at least one piece that has them saying, “Oh, my bleeding heart!”
Barb Vlack will be teaching as Mary Ellen Kranz has an illness in the family and must be away.
