Holiday Blooms

21″ x 21″
Machine Reverse Appliqué

Good cheer and success are yours with these holiday Poinsettias created with our simple machine reverse appliqué method with appliquéd flower centers.
This is a quick and fun project to create a festive red and green 21” x 21” quilted piece to use as a wall-hanging, table décor piece, as a last minute gift or as a holiday pillow, just in time for Christmas.

In a reverse appliqué design, the pretty design is made by the background fabric peeking out through cut outs in the top fabric. If you’re used to appliqué, it can mess with your head at first. But don’t worry. You’ll get used to it in no time at all. And it’s so beautiful! Just remember, the design shapes you see are made in the background fabric peeking out through cut out “holes” in the top fabric.
