Whether you’re looking to create cute quilts for a dollhouse, or an exquisite piece of home decor, miniature quilts offer a fun way to flex your quilting muscle. Miniature quilts don’t have to be out of reach for the beginning quilter. Even award-winning miniature quilt master Pat Holly had to start somewhere.

We’re thinking big with miniatures this week at AQS. Enjoy these compilations celebrating the fun and artistry of miniature quilts. Plus, you can even make them yourself!

Miniatures coming to Michigan

Oh, Wow! The Miniature Quilt Collection

miniaturePicture the amazing detail and quality stitching you’ve seen in some of the best quilts in the world. Now, shrink that down to scale in a space smaller than 24″ in diameter. The National Quilt Museum is loaning AQS access to 28 pieces of this collection for display only in Grand Rapids.

Commenting on the exhibit, National Quilt Museum Founder Bill Schroeder notes, “No better words could describe this remarkable collection of miniature quilts. The more carefully you look at them, the more you will agree.”
