FREE PATTERN from Janome: Cat Block and Pillow

0

October Janome

Use your favorite scraps to create an array of charming patchwork cats. Make an assortment of 6” x 6” cat blocks, or combine ten cats to make a large block that’s perfect for a 20” x 20” pillow cover.

The cat lover brain behind this project is Elizabeth Hartman of Oh, Frannson!

Thanks to Janome for this fun block and pillow pattern!

Click HERE for a PDF document of the Cat Block & Cat Block Pillow pattern as seen on Janome’s website: janome_cat-block

Please note one little correction, thanks to an OnPoint reader:

Under Step 2: Finish the Block

  • Refer to the diagram above to arrange the cats in 3 rows, with 3 cats in Rows 1 and 2, and 4 cats in Row 2…

That should read 3 cats in Rows 1 and 3, and 4 cats in Row 2…as pictured.

Love this pattern, thanks.

This is just adorable!! I love it and I love cats.

There is a typo in the instructions. Step 2 of putting the project together states that there are 3 cats in rows 1 and 2. That “2” should be a “3”. “Three cats in rows 1 and 3 and four cats in row 2.” is how the instructions should read. Otherwise a really cute and easy to make project!

Would love to have this pattern but could not download it.

I sent a PDF to your email address. Sylvia Thomas, AQS Office Administrator

Love the cats but I will need my magnifying glass to read the tiny print. Just finished a cat themed quilt for my daughter and even though the two patterns are quite different this pillow would be a nice companion.

Perfect for my cat-loving Dughter-in-law and I can use the great Tula Pink scraps I have left from a previous project! Thanks!

I Love Janome! (I Have a 6500P) and love Kitties too! And would LOVE to have this as a PDF file. I couldn’t get it to download so I could print it.

Sharon, I have added a link to a PDF of the pattern to the blog post. You should be able to save and print the PDF. If you have any further problems, just let me know. Sylvia Thomas, AQS Office Administrator, sylvia@aqsquilt.com
