5 Reasons Quilters Love Northern Indiana’s Amish Country

1). We love quilters
Our quilters span generations . . . take pride in heirloom-quality . . . invite lasting friendships. You could say the same for Northern Indiana’s Amish Country. Pursue your quilting passions here and share some of ours: Handcraftsmanship, Amish heritage and Hoosier hospitality – all stitched into the rural beauty and welcoming communities of the nationally-recognized Heritage Trail.

2). Quilt Shops? We’ve got lots!
Browse an array of pattern possibilities at Calico Point in Goshen (Amish quilters will serve you), the nostalgia-laced Yoder Department Store (with over 10,000 bolts of fabric), and one of our favorites, Gohn Brothers in downtown Middlebury, where quilters can stock up on quilting supplies in a shop that’s been serving the locals since 1904. There are over 20 quilt shops in Northern Indiana’s Amish Country to help you piece your next quilt to perfection.

3). Visitors come from all over the world to see our Quilt Gardens

I thought you were going to share the Cinnamon Apple Bread…but can’t find the recipe…

I would love to get that recipe for Cinnamon Apple bread.

Our designer was trying to find that recipe for you. Then he went on vacation. He’ll be back on Monday and I’ll check with him. In the mean time, you might be able to search the Internet for Amish Cinnamon Apple Bread and see what you can some up with.

I love Shipshawanna, go at least once a year. The fabric shops is where you’ll find me. Fall and around Christmas (right after Thanksgiving,) my favorite times to go. The decorations are spending pretty.Am84

Greetings. I also was indicted by the offer of a great revive. Thanx

Fun fact, Jared Diamond the man who wrote the book Guns, Germs, and Steel conducted a study once on the Amish and found that they’re actually about 20% happier than the rest of the population. As to why exactly is certainly up for debate, but I’m sure eating that cinnamon apple bread will probably make even the most cynical person at least 20% happier as well lol.
