First-time Contestants Can Win!



It’s a big step that you might be considering, and it’s easier than you think.

When you step into the world of quilting competition and send an entry to an AQS QuiltWeek contest, you might think, “I don’t have a chance!” That’s what some of these quilters thought—right before they became semi-finalists, or even big winners!

First-time entrants are often juried in to AQS QuiltWeek quilt contests. It could be you! 

Linda Hrcka was a winner in Bed Quilts: Longarm/Midarm Machine Quilted at the Paducah contest in 2014 along with Lisa Bonjean. Linda had only been longarm quilting for six months! Linda had another winner, an Honorable Mention, at the same show.

Donna Douglass was a recent first time winner. Her quilt won Best Hand Workmanship at Daytona Beach in February, 2016.
