Fantastic Fibers 2014 is an international competitive fiber art exhibition hosted by the The Yeiser Art Center in Paducah, Kentucky, April 5-May 24, 2014. It’s a showcase of a wide range of outstanding works related to the fiber medium. All forms of fiber art are welcome.
This is a juried competition. The 2014 Fantastic Fibers juror will be Caryl Bryer Fallert-Gentry, who is internationally recognized for her award-winning fine art quilts. “It is my pleasure to select the work for Fantastic Fibers 2014. I have been involved with the Yeiser Art Center’s annual fiber shows since 1988, either as a juror or an entrant.” said Fallert-Gentry. “Even before I moved to Paducah, Fantastic Fibers was one of the highlights of QuiltWeek®. It continues to be a world class, international showcase for cutting-edge fiber art, year after year, and I look forward to reviewing the entries in the 2014 show.”
Cash prizes totaling a minimum of $1,750 will be awarded. The entry deadline for the exhibition/contest is January 25, 2014. Use the Fantastic Fibers 2014 website to enter this AQS-sanctioned event.
