Falling Leaves – Free Pattern!

I had the privilege of meeting Michele Scott, author of the AQS book Bobbin Quiltin’ and Fusin’ Fun, at AQS QuiltWeek® – Grand Rapids, Michigan 2013.

Her enthusiastic style is infectious. Quilters were beaming as they admired, inspected, and passed her quilts all around the lecture audience.

Machine quilting is one of her passions, especially bobbin work using decorative threads. Michele loves to quilt, embellish, design, and teach. Above all, her classes inspire confidence with her “mistakes are ok, move on” attitude!

Michele designed this free Nature’s Palette quilt pattern. The leaves are drifting across a modern block background—it’s a 62″ x 72″ pattern with many possibilities! Use the fall fabrics you’ve been collecting to create your own breezy treat.

For another taste of Michele’s delightful style, check out Bobbin’ Quiltin’ and Fusin’ Fun HERE. It’s a great book for beginners who want to start with bright, fun contemporary projects.
