Fabrics Needed:

A – 2 different scrappy reds

B – Blue print

C – Medium gray

D – Cream

E – Light gray

 

Cutting Instructions:

1 – 1½” strip from fabrics A & E

2 – 2½” strips from fabric D

1 – 2½” strip from fabric C

2 – 2½” strips from fabric A

1 – 2½” strip from fabric B

 

  • Using the same red fabrics, make 1 four-patch units using 1½” strips.
  • Using scrappy red and light gray, make 4 four-patch units using 1½” strips.
  • Using 2½” strips of cream and medium gray, make cream-gray-cream strip sets. Subcut into (4) 2½” x 6½” rectangles.
  • Using 2½” strips of red and blue, make red-blue-red strip sets. Subcut into (2) 2½” x 6½” rectangles.
  • Cut (2) 2½” squares of blue. Sew blue squares to opposite sides of the red four-patch unit.
  • Assemble the block as illustrated.
