Chain Block Quilt Inspiration

We began our Chain block variations journey with three blocks (click here for the block patterns), then we explored knot variations (click here for these block patterns), now we are ready to explore some quilt layouts.

Below are quilt layout ideas to inspire you. Each quilt is shown with block lines and without.

Chain Block Variations

           

This quilt uses eighteen 15″ Nine Patch Chain blocks alternating with plain setting blocks and measures 75″ x 105″ rectangle.

 

          

This quilt uses thirteen 18″ Double Nine Patch Chain blocks alternating with plain setting blocks and measures 90″ square.

 

           

This quilt uses thirteen 15″ Five Patch Chain blocks alternating with Chain Setting blocks and measures 75″ square.

Knots & Chain Block Variations

            

This quilt uses thirteen 12″ Four-Patched Nine Patch Chain blocks alternating with plain setting blocks and measures 60″ square.

 

            

This quilt uses seventy-two 8″ Uneven Nine Patch Chain blocks alternating with plain setting blocks and measures 88″ x 104″ rectangle.

 

           

This quilt uses thirteen 12″ Knots & Chains blocks alternating with plain setting blocks and measures 60″ rectangle.
