Cutting Instructions

From the red fabric, cut:
(1) 2½” x 2½”
(2) 2” x 2”

From the green fabric, cut:
(2) 3” x 3”
(4) 2½” x 2½”

From the cream fabric, cut:
(2) 3” x 3”
(2) 2” x 2”
(12) 1½” x 2½”

Unit Assembly

Half Square Triangles

Mark the wrong side of the red 2” squares in half diagonally once. Lay a marked red square over a cream 2” square, right sides together. Sew a ¼” from each side of the marked line. Cut apart on the marked line. Trim unit to 1½” square. Make 4.

Repeat cream and green 3″ squares to make (4) Green/Cream 2½” HST.

Corner Unit

Lay out a 2½” green/cream HST, (2) cream 1½” x 2½” rectangles, and a 1½” red/cream HST as shown below.

Sew together in two rows and then sew the rows together. Corner unit measures 3½” square unfinished. Make 4.

Rectangle & Square Unit

Sew a cream 1½” x 2½” rectangle to a green 2½” square.

Make 4.

Block Assembly

Use the block diagram above to lay the block out into four rows. Sew the units into rows.

Sew the rows together to complete the block.

Block measures 8½” x 8½” unfinished.
