From the red fabric, cut:
(4) 2½” x 4½”
From the green fabric, cut:
(4) 2½” x 2½”
From the cream fabric, cut:
(4) 2½” x 4½”
(8) 2½” x 2½”
Mark the wrong side of the cream 2½” square in half diagonally once. Lay the marked square right sides together with a red 2½” x 4½” rectangle, oriented as shown below. Sew on the marked line. Trim a ¼” seam. Press.
Repeat on the other side with another marked cream 2½” square. Make 4 Flying Geese units.
Mark the wrong side of a green 2½” square in half diagonally once. Lay the marked square over the corner of a cream 2½” x 4½” rectangle, right sides together. Sew on the marked line. Trim a ¼” seam. Press.
Repeat to make 4 Corner Flip units.
Use the block diagram above to lay the block out. Sew the units into sections, and then sew the sections into rows.
Sew the rows together to complete the block.
Block measures 8½” x 8½” unfinished.
