Linda J. Hahn & AQS Publishing have been honored with the 2012 Bronze Medal from “Living Now Book Awards” for New York Beauty: Simplified in the Crafts/Collecting/Hobbies category.
AQS Chief Operating Officer Richard Louise had the pleasure of presenting the bronze medal to Linda during the International Quilt Market/Houston 2012 held last week.
The New York Beauty block-a clean, precise, starburst pattern-has been a classic quilt design for years. The sharp points and curved seams have intimidated quilters from the beginning. Linda Hahn has developed a simple paper-piecing foundation method to sew a gentle arc that guarantees a perfect New York Beauty block every time. In New York Beauty: Simplified, Linda’s 21 projects, from small to large wallhangings and applications on sweatshirts and a tote bag, showcase the numerous design possibilities she is famous for teaching. Linda even shares quilting patterns for each project as an added bonus for this intriguing block.
