Adopt a Duck & Make a Difference

1

It’s a Paducah QuiltWeek tradition to adopt a duck for the Puducky Derby. Even though we couldn’t be together for AQS QuiltWeek this year, you can still participate in this important event, the 6th Annual PaDucky Derby.

The Merryman House Domestic Crisis Center will hold its annual Duck Race on October 24, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Noble Park Pond in Paducah, KY. You can even watch the race as it is live streamed on Facebook: www.facebook.com/paduckyderby

All proceeds from the PaDucky Derby will benefit the Merryman House, a non-profit organization which offers both residential and outreach services to meet the needs of victims of intimate partner abuse and their dependents as they strive to live free of violence in their home. The Merryman House has become a comprehensive advocacy and support center that is devoted to addressing the needs of survivors.

Each duck adopted will go directly to saving, building, and changing the lives of those affected by domestic violence.

Click here to join the American Quilter’s Society team to adopt a Single Duck, a Quack Pack (6 ducks), or a Flock of Ducks (12 ducks).

Thank you for adopting a duck and supporting the mission of the Merryman House! To learn more about their mission, please visit the Merryman House website or the Merryman House Facebook page.
