Melinda BulaFabulous Flower Photo Quilts with Melinda Bula
Your lovely flower photograph becomes a fiber masterpiece as Melinda Bula guides you through the process of choosing the best photograph, making a pattern, and choosing a color palette. Select fabrics that work best with your image, then fuse, make petals, and assemble the complete flower. From foreground to background, Melinda gives practical tips and encouragement along the way. She even demonstrates her Renegade Thread Play, showing how to best quilt the project.

Kathy McNeil Step-by-Step Quilted Landscapes with Kathy McNeil
Making stunning landscape quilts from photographs is Kathy McNeil’s specialty and she shares so many tips and suggestions in this class. Choosing the subject and selecting the photograph is the starting place, but Kathy shows how to edit the photo and imparts some design secrets that she uses in her own quilts. Kathy encourages exploring the subject of the photograph and planning the background. It is easy to construct and piece the background of the sailboat landscape from the downloadable pattern provided. Kathy demonstrates how she uses paints to highlight and add dimension to the scene. Both rough and finished-edge appliqué techniques are taught, and Kathy also shows how to attach appliqué pieces by hand or machine. Finishing touches are included. Complete the landscape pattern provided or use the information to make a quilt from your landscape photograph.

Judi MadsenQuilting Makes a Difference with Judi Madsen
In this amazing class by Judi Madsen, one downloadable quilt design gets quilted in two different ways. The traditional approach includes feathers that are full of flow and design. The modern approach utilizes straight-line designs filled with fabulous details. Drawing the design is the first step, then marking the quilt so it is ready for free-motion quilting comes next. Judi demonstrates exactly where and how to begin, walking through each step of the quilting. Learn how to make not-so-ordinary feathers, loops, double loops, a circle in a circle, swirls, pebbles, and other fills to enhance your quilts. Create one traditionally quilted piece and then one with a distinctively modern edge, all in one class!
